The BAT system

The BAT system is used to accurate measure of the ground parameters or like groundwater monitoring system. It offers a range wide of possibility applications and has been optimized for use in differing physical and chemical environments.

Advantages of the BAT soundings:

The BAT system is portable equipment.  It makes that convenient to use cause irrespective of unevenness or manner of structure and grained of soil, it can be used in fieldwork as well as at the laboratory. Equipment can adapt to the temperature in the ground. This may cause

a measurement change, especially during the summer season when there is a large difference between air temperature and temperature in the ground.

Applications of BAT system:

The complete system consists of few separate kits useful for a variety of functions:
Sampling - Extraction of groundwater, both liquid and gas phases may be sampled. Samples are taken in completely sealed and sterile containers.
Pore pressure - Measurement of pore water pressure head within 0.01 meters of water column.
Permeability - Measurement of hydraulic conductivity. Variable head tests may be performed involving either inflow or outflow of fluid.
Other important features involve convenience completion of the work are: tests can be performed insitu at practically any depth and also test can be performed in the saturated zone as well as in the vadose zone.
Using the BAT system is essential for the initial diagnosis of spatial and environmental planning researches.
