This is an engineering geophysical survey based on the measurement of soil resistance in 2D geometry on profiles of any length, or after appropriate test, also in 3D geometry. The survey is used in geology, geotechnics and archaeology.
Among the geoelectric methods, this is the most popular method of testing, among other things through the absence of profile limitations, time efficiency and effectiveness in places where clay layers are located.
Our company uses a single-channel ARESII/1 kit, with improved support and agraphical screen that can be expanded to a10-channel system.
Practical application of ERT
- locate faults,
- monitor dams, escarpments, landslides,
- examine geological layers,
- detect caves,
- archaeological research.
