Geotechnical acceptance is carried out by a certified geologist. This kind of field test is required before concrete works. The acceptance consists of the macroscopic analysis, soundings, borings and laboratory investigation. Acceptance of the soil in the excavation is confirmed by the entry in the construction logbook.
Besides the formal regulations, the aim of the geotechnical acceptance is to indicate possible locations requiring soil exchange or better improvement. It is very important when non-engineering fills are recognized in the area of construction site.
Thanks to this examination we gain confidence that the ground has been properly prepared and in the later stages of works additional problems will not occur.
